FOXY SHAZAM Signs to Sire Records, Catch Them On Tour Now !

MUSIC NEWS - The red hot, piano-driven, toe-tapping "rock 'n soul" sextet Foxy Shazam has beem signed to Sire Records, the label announced. The Cincinnati, OH band is putting the final touches on their debut for the label, expected out in early 2010.
With a wide range of musical influences; from Marvin Gaye, Elton John and “Born To Run”-era Bruce Springsteen, Foxy Shazam has been creating unique, genre-defying music since they gpt together in 2004. And, the new album will use a blend of passion, danger, and an aggressive pop spark to ignite their songs and take Foxy to the next level, and more listeners. "We wanted to go places where nobody goes,” explains front man Eric Nally. “We weren't afraid to take risks with this record, because as long as you take them with confidence it will work out. Nothing is cool until it's made cool."
Foxy Shazam released their last album, Introducing in January 2008 on the indie label Ferret Music and have been taking their good times to growing audiences ever since. Foxy have been touring constantly all over the USA, playing in venues and bars and basements. Their commitment to play and excite has paid off: their notorious live show is impressive and has won them a dedicated cult of followers.
