MUSIC NEWS- Apparently still having trouble paying their rent, classic rockers STEELY DAN has announced additional shows this fall, as part of their stellar "Rent Party '09" tour, again with some multiple-night engagements in several cities.
The run starts off off October 12 & 13 in Seattle, WA continuing to California for several shows, before wrapping up the western USA leg with an October 27 show in Phoenix. A November 8 concert in Minneapolis, MN, ends the tour (full itinerary below).
The band continues its special "Classic Album (Plus)" nights on the fall tour, when Becker, Fagen and company will perform one of their past studio albums in its entirety, along with other select tunes from the group's career. On the upcoming tour, full-album shows are booked for Seattle (10/12 & 13 - Aja / Royal Scam), San Jose, CA (10/20 & 21 - AJA / internet request), San Francisco (10/23 thru 25 - Aja, Royal Scam, internet request), Phoenix (10/27 - Aja) and Minneapolis (11/8 - Aja).
After abandoning touring for many years, this 2009 run marks the fourth year in a row that the band has been performing live, and to sell out crowds and rave reviews. "Everything Must Go," their latest release, has been out since 2003.
