New LIVING COLOUR Release Confirmed, Tour Announced

     MUSIC NEWS -  Corey Glover, lead singer for LIVING COLOUR, has said the New York group will release its first album six years.   Glover recently said that while "The Chair in the Doorway" alubm (order below thru MNN) marks the band's first release in years, it doesn't confirm a reunion of the group that disbanded 14 years ago, accorging to the Boston Globe.

"People are under the mistaken impression that this is a reunion or something," Glover said. "They think that when we broke up in 1995 we haven't been together since, but we've been a band all this decade. We've taken time out to do our own things but we've played and worked together."

Glover said Living Colour's new, "The Chair in the Doorway," is releasing on September 15, reflects his current life, and that of guitarist Vernon Reid, bassist Doug Wimbish and drummer Will Calhoun.

"This is much more of a personal record,'' Glover told the publication. "We sat down and decided to take a hard look at our own lives. This isn't a political record in a broad sense … . We want the songs and lyrics to be a microcosm to the larger picture of what is happening and has happened in the country."
