BLINK 182 Cancels NY Performance to Mourn DJ AM's Passing

MUSIC NEWS - As a result of Friday's (8/28) passing of their friend Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein, Blink -182 had decided not to perform this evening (8/31) at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY.
"Due to circumstances surrounding the unfortunate and untimely passing of our dear friend Adam "DJ A.M." Goldstein, Blink-182 will not be playing tonight in Saratoga, NY, at SPAC," reads an announcement on the band's website. "Performances by Weezer, Taking Back Sunday and Chester French will take place as planned along with some special surprises. We thank all of our fans for their support in this tough time."
Goldstein, 36, was found dead as a result of a suspected drug overdose in his NYC Soho apartment on Friday (8/28) by NY police officers responding to a 911 call.
UPDATE 9/1/09 - The band today announced that, tomorrow night’s show in Cuyahoga Falls (Cleveland), Ohio (9/2) and their gig on Thursday (9/3) in Maryland Heights (St. Louis), MO have been postponed until the end of September. And, to be able to make the changes, they've moved their Atlanta and Charlotte originally booked for September to October dates.
