DR DOG Join the Anti Team and Announce Tour Dates

     MUSIC NEWS-  Philadelphia rockers, Dr Dog have found a new recording home at Los Angeles based,  Anti Records, the home of for iconic artists as Tom Waits, Nick Cave and Mavis Staples.  Dr Dog, who have developed a dedicated audience through four album releases and a steady run of exhilarating live shows, is currently working on a new album, set for early 2010 release. Guitarist-vocalist Scott McMicken promises a subtle yet profound evolution in the band's harmonic sound.

"Each album we've made was the best one we could have made at the time and I don't have any regrets," McMicken says. "But something has changed. We've never really recorded as a band before. We started as a recording project but over the years we've become a real band. We tour all the time and we have this certain place we fall into. And I think we're ready to use that as a reference point now"

To take some breaks from the studio, Dr. Dog will take their live show on the road for a headlining tour (full itinerary below) with additional stops at the Pickathon Music Festival and Austin City Limits as well as a run out west for some dates with celebrated troubadour and comic book artist Jeffrey Lewis.  More on Dr Dog at DrDogMusic.com.
