TAKING BACK SUNDAY is "NEW AGAIN" with Album, Tour and Games

         MUSIC NEWS - Taking Back Sunday have announced plans to release their new album on June 2, 2009 (via Warner Bros. Records). The album, entitled New Again, was recorded in NYC with producer David Kahne, (Paul McCartney, The Strokes and Sublime).  

Already receiving great press; Alternative Press (which the band currently graces the cover of) gave New Again 4.5 out of 5 stars, and Revolver rated it 4 stars, declaring the album “polished, dynamic and upbeat.” The first single off New Again, called “Sink Into Me", has gotten great radio airplay and the Travis Kopach-directed video for the song premiered on MTV.com, MTV2, MTVU and MTV Hits last week.  TBS have been chosen as XBOX Artist of the Month for June, Artist of the Month on The N and they will be performing “Sink Into Me” on the outdoor stage at Jimmy Kimmel Live on release day (6/2). In tour news, Taking Back Sunday was asked to open for blink-182 on their summer reunion tour. The TBS portion of the tour also features Weezer and runs from August 23 in Toronto, CN through September 17 in Irvine, CA.  Currently, the NY five-piece are out on a nationwide headlining tour that just started on May 14 and runs through the end of June (itinerary below).   The group also announced that a pack of their tracks will be available for Rock Band today. “MakeDamnSure”, “What’s It Feel Like To Be A Ghost?” and “Liar (It Takes One To Know One)” are the first three TBS songs to be featured on the game. A new song off New Again, entitled "Everything Must Go" posted on the band’s MySpace over the weekend.
