Top Acts "Scalping" Their Own Tix ?

     MUSIC NEWS -  A recent article in the Wall Street Joural claims that many top acts including Neil Diamond, Britney Spears, Bon Jovi, Celine Dion, Billy Joel and Elton John are "scalping" their own tix thru arrangments with ticket re-sellers.  Despite the fact that Ticketmaster's TicketExchange marketplace has been promoted as a place where fans can buy and sell tickets they've already purchased,  Joseph Freeman, Ticketmaster's senior vice president for legal affairs, told The Journal that the company's "Marketplace" pages only rarely list tickets offered by fans. And, in the UK, The Times reports that tour promoter, AEG has a deal in place with reseller Viagogo, for Michael Jackson tickets for his upcoming "farewell" shows.  See full WSJ story.
