The Day Before Wine And Roses:
Live at KPFK, September 5, 1982
Pre-LP Live Radio Performance
One last Dream Syndicate post, primarily for a commenter who lamented the absence of original guitarist Karl Precoda on The Complete Live At Raji's release. This live radio show features the Syndicate's original line up and was recorded prior to the release of the group's debut LP, The Days Of Wine And Roses. While it's a legit, 1995 release, it should be noted that the sound quality isn't quite as dynamic as the aforementioned Raji's disc. The performance itself is pretty raw and hard core followers may be transported back to memories of their own sweaty, anything-goes DS club experience, as the band rips through recently written Wine And Roses material and some off-beat covers, including Buffalo Springfield''s "Mr. Soul," Dylan's "Outlaw Blues," and Donovan's "Season Of The Witch."
