However, at least one half of the duo would have been as believable as Elvis in singing "Early Morning Rain," if you've read John Einarson's bio: Ian Tyson, who (if based on said book) was into marijuana, plus (by his own admission, again in the book) being drunk at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival. Not so much Sylvia, though, as far as the believability factor viz the song goes, relatively speaking . . .
