Patrick Wolf who was previously reported as working on a double album , apparently he is now asking fans to invest into his new album. In order to release the follow-up to "The Magic Position", he is asking fans to cover the cost of his new album by becoming sharholders in it. All they have to do is sign up to Bandstocks and pay a £10 (about $15 US) to help him finish the album. He says of the opportunity: "It's the beginning of the future for artists and musicians in the music industry. There's no way we can rely on conglomerate, corporate companies anymore. Basically, you can invest in the finishing of the album and the production of it, and you get a share in the album. So you almost become part of the record company, like a co-owner of the album." Shareholders will get some benefits such a exclusive concert tickets and limited edition albums. The new album called "Battle", in which "one disc is a pure nihilistic battle record, and the second is battles of love." Patrick Wolf has also stated the album will take a new direction: "Something fantastic happened just as I was about to start that journey and I had all these songs to record - I fell in love". The new record will be released through his own label, Bloody Chamber Music. He has also put out a video blog post with preview of the new material.
