The Strokes' bassist Nikolai Fraiture whose new project is called Nickel Eye has announced the details of his solo debut. The band features members of the band South. The album titled "Time of the Assassins" will be released on Januray 27. The record also features appearances by regina Specktor and Nick Zinner. Nikolai says that he started the project due to the unexpectedly-long hiatus taken by the Strokes. Visit Nickel Eye on myspace .
