imaginary biographies , the title of the first full-length album from los angeles songwriter leerone , invokes a certain kind of playfulness, a rather robust game of make-believe salted with enough empathy to explore the circumstances, events & emotions that shape character. the individual songs on the album uphold that promise, mixing bits of whimsy - an, at times, almost cabaret style piano arrangement, for instance - with observational storytelling & tales of love realized and thwarted.
