As a young child growing up in suburban Minneapolis, my mother always used to tell me, "Liz, if you behave this year and are a good girl, then perhaps Tricky shall come to town, with his reindeer and his large red velvet bag full of candy canes and atmospheric trip-hop songs." For many years, those words and that promise lived in my heart, and now, in grand tradition, Tricky has returned to North America for another magical winter season.
