Guitar goddess Marnie Stern has grown sick of all those chillwave bands with their jangly riffs and lackadaisical attitudes populating her fans' headphones this past year. To fight back, she will be releasing her third album, a self-titled affair, on October 5 via Kill Rock Stars. Teaming up once again with longtime cohort Zach Hill, Stern also brought along bassist Matthew Flegel (Women) and mixer Lars Stalfors (Mars Volta) for the recording process.
