On August 15, the first-ever outdoor performance of Rhys Chatham's "A Crimson Grail," a monumental piece of music composed for an orchestra of 200 guitars, was canceled due to weather in New York City deemed incompatible by the concert organizers because of the large amount of electrical power required to power the 200 guitar amplifiers.
