Yup, so you've read our recent "Discipline" review .
I've talked time and time again on Method Uncertain about her .
Just this week, Miss Jackson officially announced her "ROCK WITCHU " Tour on the Ellen Degeneres show . She also busted out two killer performances of an oldie, "Rhythm Nation " and a newie , "Luv ."
Not only was Janet on point with her choreography (she always is!), but she upped the game and showed the fans she WANTS this. How? Well, for the first time in G-d knows how many years she killed her vocals, live. Usually, for the high-octane dance numbers, Janet would rely heavily on back-track vocals, but not this time. Oh, plus her sound crew finally turned her damn mic up so you can actually hear Janet.
Her promotional team also (finally!) got their act together and set up a new Janet fanclub , which will officially launch in the next week or so. Janet hasn't had a centralized fan club since "Friends of Janet," one of the best run fan clubs ever, was shut down. She's offering fan club members first crack at concert tickets, but also set up a hotline where fans can call in to hear recorded messages from Janet and request songs for the upcoming tour. Janet's tapping her long standing audience to find out what we, the fans, want her to perform. And that's killer.
