Relient K, the Ohio based punk-rock band, is set to release their latest album, Forget and Not Slow Down, on October 6th and we're streaming the new single, "Therapy," for your enjoyment.
According to Matt Thiessen, Relient K's vocalist, isolation was the key to song-writing this go around, but more so, self-discovery. Its said that he locked himself away in a secluded cabin in Southern Tennessee and started penning the new album, but during the process he was able to focus on his life, including present and past relationships, successs and failures.
The end result was "Therapy" the album's lead single and a poignant look representation of his experience. Favorite line "the past cannot subtract a thing from what I'm writing for you." After hearing that, Matt Thiessen is my newest hero.
Check out stream of "Therapy" here. Also, you can listen to the full album, Forget and Not Slow Down, streaming now at Absolute Punk
