iTunes 8.1 Lets Your Friends Veto Song Choice
-
Artist:
Ever go to a party where your friend thinks they've created the most amazing master playlist to ever exist, but in reality it actually sucks? Yeah, I'm sure we've all had that experience at some point, but thanks to new iTunes Dj, now you can veto your friends (well, the ones with iPhones) music selection in a pinch. If you're using iTunes 8.1 and have iTunes DJ enabled, anyone with the newest version of Remote on their iPhone can vote on songs that are coming up in your playlist. They can also browse through your entire collection to request or song (or mock you mercilessly). The songs that get the most votes will be played next. How democratic of iTunes.
You can actually see which songs are getting voted on by checking out the "votes" column in iTunes. Though the idea is cool in theory, it could be a serious drain on the life of the party if everyone is in their seperate corners clicking on their iPhones... oh wait...that's how most "parties" are nowadays.
Btw, iTunesDJ is never needed at an oPaul party - he's the master DJ. I've felt the urge to veto his song selection, unless of course one of his drunk roomies gets hold of the iPod.
