Want good folk? Meet Peter Bradley Adams

This Alabama native began playing classical piano when he was six. He dabbled in songwriting when he was kid, but always sang so no one else in the house could hear him. He majored in music, got a master's degree in composition, and studied piano in Germany. But, even while he was doing all this, he always found himself drawn mostly to songs... when he look back, even though he was writing "classical" music, he was approaching it as a songwriter. And he continued to occasionally write songs, but again hid them away.

In 2006 he released his first album Gather Up where he implemented everything he learned through school but wasn't really himself.

This year he unleashes Leavetaking , a beautiful album that includes 9 tracks where he finally finds the real Peter Bradley, an extremely talented folk singer (one of my favorite). He says:

I'm still learning to sing, and I'm still learning to write good songs, but when I listen to leavetaking, for the first time I can honestly say it sounds like me.
