Toronto electro-duo Woodhands will be embarking on a US tour this Thursday May 7th in the wake of their recent Paper Bag Records Dancer EP. Woodhands has been touring pretty much constantly, with stops across North America, Japan, China, & upcoming dates in Europe. Their live show has to be seen to be believed: no pre-programmed samples, no laptops, no safety net: just two hyperkinetic, high-energy performers bringing the party as hard as possible, a little different each time.

May:

07 Kansas City, MO Czar Bar08 Springfield, MO Outland09 St. Louis, MO Pops Blue Moon10 Des Moines, IA House of Bricks12 Indianapolis, IA The Volrath13 Chicago, IL Abbey Pub15 Columbus, OH Bristol Bar16 New York, NY Loose Nukes @ The Delancey

After the success of their cover for Eddy Grant’s one-hit wonder “Electric Avenue” (blessed by Eddy himself), the keytar-n-drums unit of Daniel Werb & Paul Banwatt have decided to tackle Katy Perry’s hit single “I Kissed a Girl.” According to Werb,“we did it because the spirit of the song spoke to us: It’s that feeling of being overwhelmed by the moment, of indulgence, of unfettered hedonism. Also, Katy Perry is hella hot. And the song is dope.”
