Ladytron announce tour w/ The Faint new EP deets

Ladytron has just announced a N. American co-headlining tour with The Faint this spring, beginning in Milwaukee on Wednesday, April 1 & wrapping in Denver on Tuesday, May 5. The two bands will switch headline duties each night, and will be joined by FIGO who will DJ throughout the evening. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 13.

The band will also release Tomorrow EP — a 6 track EP featuring remixes of the track "Tomorrow" from their 2008 release Velocifero — on March 3 on all major digital service providers. Remixers include Jim Abbiss (Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys, Goldfrapp), Dirty Vegas, Great Northern & more.

Since the end of last year, Ladytron has spent time doing DJ sets across the country, and most recently has been in the studio with Christina Aguilera writing songs for her new album. Beginning in March, the Liverpool foursome will tour the globe through 2009, including a handful of dates in Eastern Europe as support for Depeche Mode (below) & two special shows with Brian Eno at the Sydney Opera House in June.

Ladytron released their fourth studio album, Velocifero , in June 2008 to critical acclaim. Recorded in Paris, Velocifero was self-produced with additional production from Alessandro Cortini (Nine Inch Nails, Modwheelmood) and Vicarious Bliss of Ed Banger Records (Justice, DJ Mehdi, Busy P); the album was mixed by Michael Patterson (Beck, P. Diddy). Velocifero debuted at #3 on the Electronic Album Chart, #9 on the Tastemakers Chart, and #131 in the Billboard Top 200. They spent 2008 on a worldwide tour, which started with a 31-city N. American trek including a stop at Bonnaroo.
