Skream has been pumping out remixes, original works, playing at multitudes of clubs and playing at some of the biggest festivals around for a while now and being one of dubstep's first and most prominent producers he has had a huge impact of the genre and its progression. He resides here in London, though probably doesn't get too see too much daylight as he is always getting people sweaty in clubs all over the world, but he probably doesn't care too much because there isn't much sunlight here in London anyway.
His releases vary from the very dark, simple, tracks that are complemented with low-end bass to the sporadic thrashing warbles of his harder tracks. His mega hit "Midnight Request Line" has been described as one "dubstep's most recognizable crossover hit", due to Skream's transition from dark, garage influenced dubstep into more melodic sounding tracks.
He really is very good at what he does, and although I'm not too keen on the whole dubstep thing, I can appreciate a good tune, and Skream has many. I seriously cannot believe I haven't blogged about him yet!
