Given the amazing year they've had since the release of their breakthrough LP All Hour Cymbals, it's hard to believe that Yeasayer have not yet had the pleasure of headlining their very own tour.

That'll change this fall, when the band embarks on a North American jaunt that will, in some ways, see them bidding a fond farewell to the album that helped secure them a spot on the top of the bill. According to a press release, the new dates will find the band tackling new tunes not heard on previous jaunts through their home continent, as well as "a repaired voice for the son of Cricket, [guitarist] Anand Wilder." Plus an all-new stage setup featuring "projectors, LCD grids, and possibly a weather balloon."

The dates kick off with a brief run in late October, followed by a longer stretch in November and early December. That comes after a mess of gigs in Europe and Australia as summer turns to fall, plus a stop at Austin City Limits somewhere in between.

All ye with tables that turn may not have yet had a chance to put a needle to All Hour Cymbals, but that'll change soon. The disc will finally be available on 180 gram vinyl in late fall or early winter, featuring lyrics so's you can chant right along at home.

Of course, nice fellas like Yeasayer wouldn't say goodbye without offering this lovely parting gift: the band will hit the studio early next year to craft their sophomore set.
