Listen to a Haunted Jookabox

One of my favorite records of 2008 is 'Ropechain' , the sophomore release from Indianapolis, Illinois' native Grampall Jookabox . I've been listening to it for months now and love it's hybridization of Hip-Hop, Folk, Punk, Indie-Rock, Psychedelia, Noise/Drone and Electronica. It finally hits stores next Tuesday, November 4th, and the rest of the music-buying public will finally get to love it too.

A posted a preview EP, the digital download 'Rill Bruh' a while back. But just in time for Halloween Grampall Jookabox and his label Asthmatic Kitty are offering another peek at the album, the appropriately titled "Ghost." They're giving the eerie track away as a free download. Plus, they're giving away a second MP3 of a "Ghost" remix by Los Angeles-based DJ and producer Nobody as well!

Oh, and I don't know how the fuck I could've missed it, but here's the video for the first single "The Girl Ain't Preggers." It's cheap, cheesy, fun, and a little creepy...And it has absolutely nothing to do with the actual song.



Grampall Jookabox's 'Ropechain' is out November 4th on Asthmatic Kitty Records. It's one of my must-haves of '08. So, you must have it!
