After a delay, of Montreal 's ninth album, a masterpiece of glammy, gender-bending, laptop-produced Funk/Soul/Disco-infused Indie-Pop titled 'Skeletal Lamping ,' finally drops this week! Right on time too, since they've just debuted the animation-laden video clip for the first single "Id Engager."

The new of Montreal opus, 'Skeletal Lamping ,' which is a front-runner for best (and most ambitious) album of the year, hits stores this Tuesday, October 21st via Polyvinyl Records. It's available in a whole range of special editions that come in an array of fancy packaging.

Nah, some of of Montreal's fans had beef with the band licensing their song "Wraith Pinned to the Mist..." to Outback Steak House for a series of commercials.  Frontman Kevin Barnes, in a length public address, basically said that taking Outback's money meant of Montreal was a healthier band and would be able to amp up their stage shows into an ever more theatrical experience.  He was right.  They took Outback's money, bought more costumes and props and kept right on making incredible, genre-defying, boundary-pushing, emotionally, intellectually and socially-challenging music.
