Lights Gets Cartoon Video Series

LIGHTS is set to star in her own "motion comic series" that will premiere on MTV and MTV.com on Monday."Audio Quest: A Capt. LIGHTS Adventure" features artwork by Tomm Coker of Marvel comics and follows the singer whose real name is Valerie Poxleitner on intergalactic space adventures where she battles evil space aliens.I think this is spectacular! Its great to see artists diversify into other fields that they are truly passionate about. If your a fan of Lights or follow her twitter you instantly pick up that she has an affinity with . . . well 'nerd' culture. She has LOTR swords and Mortal Combat v DC Universe comic books and has even claimed to have dreamed about being Wonder Woman. One look into her new cartoon and you instantly recognize she is motivated by her passion for that world. Sure she stands to gain a lot of exposure and can now access MTV ad dollars, but it feels to me that she executed this idea cause she thought it would be rad to be a part of this world, work with Marvel Comics and be a cartoon!
