There was no need to state "ageing" when referring to Deep Purple.  Everyone in the world is ageing.  The age of a person has nothing to do with their music.  I can not hear age.  I can hear music, and Deep Purple is the greatest.  Of the three bands that started heavy metal -- Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath -- only Deep Purple remains a working band.
Black Sabbath, or Heaven and Hell, are together when it's convenient to earn money.  Led Zeppelin is a memory, and it will soon be a facsimile of what they were when they tour minus Robert Plant.

Black Sabbath gave us the dirge.  Led Zeppelin gave us what The Yardbirds were working up to, including Stairway to Heaven and my LZ favorite Dazed and Confused.  The Purple Gang gave us more rock than both combined, including the first speed metal song in Highway Star.

I like all three, but Deep Purple is my favorite.  I hope they live forever.
