[MP3] New Songs from The Shaky Hands

Posted about 1 year ago

Portland's Shaky Hands are back with their sophomore album Lunglight just one year after the release of their charming s/t debut (which we ranked on our best albums of 2007 list). This time around these boys have traded in their acoustic strumming and handclaps for something more along the lines of the Tapes n Tapes, American blog-rock variety, but don't let that deter you-- they're still innocent at heart:

[MP3] The Shaky Hands - We Are Young
[MP3] The Shaky Hands - A New Parade

It's a good thing Shaky Hands established themselves well after their debut, because unfortunately they've entered the realm of the harmless blog-rock sound. This could be any number of buzz bands over the last three years, and although it's done well it still doesn't ring the same unique-enough bells that songs like "The Sleepless" and "Summer's Life" did. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of Lunglight , but this time I won't be holding my breath too tightly.

Here are a few MP3s from their debut:

[MP3] The Shaky Hands - The Sleepless
[MP3] The Shaky Hands - Summer's Life
[MP3] The Shaky Hands - Why And How Come?

Lunglight is out September 9th on KillRockStars .
