I consider myself quite the music dork, yet there are some corners of the sonic universe that not even my iPod pocket-protector and trusty eardrums can delve into. That's definitely one of the finest splendors associated with music and any other art form; there is always something different and exciting to discover no matter how much you've heard or even seen. Such is the case for Max Tundra , a British musician I had come to know by name over the years but never associated a sound with. Yet his third studio LP Parallax Error Beheads You - one that took some six years to complete - came out late last year and just won't stay out of my head.

That's saying a lot too! I typically have a hard time twisting my music dork dials to the proper settings necessary for enjoying the type of glitchy, frenetic, and painstakingly perfected style of pop Max Tundra creates. It's the type of one man manipulation that polarizes listeners of similar acts like The Robot Ate Me or Dan Deacon - some really enjoy 'em, while others just don't get it. Max Tundra is a music maestro assembling creative sounds with a mouse instead of a baton, appealing to ears with original tracks and remixes alike! Apparently his live sets are quite the treat with loads of dancing and Tundra darting around on stage like a little kid hooked on Adderall - something I'll have more details on very soon .
