New Social Distortion album on the way

Singer Mike Ness says the band will hit the studio in January once they are done touring. The new one will be the first album from Social Distortion in five years. On the songwriting:

"I think that [the fans] always appreciated the honesty of the lyrics and the songwriting and the second thing is I think they respected that we're not afraid to evolve. I think if we were doing the same exact thing we were doing 30 years ago, I think that would be kind of weird.

The main thing is to just keep going. We have such a momentum going right now, that's what keeps it fresh and exciting. Our level of success has been a very gradual thing. To be more popular now than you were 10 years ago, but still to have 30 years behind your belt is kind of a weird phenomenon."
