Radio and Records...an end of an era.

Radio and Records is done. For our fellow radio junkies and comrades...it is a sad moment.

Oddly, I'm relieved. I thought both radio and records were gone.
On a similar note, I talk to kids all of the time who still discover their music from the radio. I was shocked; however, I doubt they're spending much money being that they're just kids.
radio and records ARE gone....as we know it
Even though I never heard of the magazine, it saddens me that it has reached its end, like many other businesses these days, and that it signals the decline of two things I like. Most recordings that I seek out are not downloadable, but there still are a lot of small CD labels reissuing them. What is the data about change in the size of radio audiences? The fact that Jewel appears to share my mood consoles me.
P.S. If I want to make a post about a recording, and am wondering if too many Moggers might already be overly familiar with it, are there websites besides allmusic and wikipedia that will give me an idea as to the recording's obscurity?
Too bad -- used to read it in college from time to time. Nice PR photo of Jewel in this issue.
