i'm personally not a MG fan, but i know some moggers that eat this stuff up. so i'm sure it will be very popular here.
I am in love with the MGs.
Molli, you should really go see Darnielle and company live before making a final judgement. I think it's damn near impossible to see the MGs play and not walk away a fan.
I recommend Darnielle's 2002 set at Bottom of the Hill as a primer for their live act.
