Christina Aguilera Ready To Work The Pole In Movie Debut, Cher To Play Mentor

It has taken Christina Aguilera a while to dip her toe in the cinematic pool, but it looks like the big-voiced diva is finally ready for her close-up.  X-tina has signed on to play the lead character in a movie titled "Burlesque," a tale of a small town girl with dreams of becoming -- you guessed it -- a burlesque superstar.  It is clearly a role that Miss Aguilera was born to play.  Even more delicious is the rumor that Cher has been tapped to play the hardened burlesque veteran club owner, who eventually becomes Christina's mentor.  Perhaps they should retitle the film, "A Tale of Two Divas."
