WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

If you miss Daft Punk...And I went dumpster diving

Posted about 1 year ago
Things have been a little quiet since the hype died down about Daft Punk's "Alive 2007" album released last year. While the joy of the live recording kept me going for a long time, I've slowly relinquished my obsession. I didn't really realize how much I missed the distinctive Daft beat until I came upon this simple, yet nostalgic gem from 1998 done by Stardust (Thomas Bangalter, Alan Braxe & Benjamin Diamond). It's got Bangalter's signature sound, but it was new to me until this week. And "new" Daft Punk is always good.

Also, I went dumpster diving last night. Trader Joe's throws out a LOT of good food, and all so nicely wrapped. Think I might become a freegan. Or, a part-time freegan. I have so many goodies in my fridge right now. Anyone want to come over for a dumpster dinner? I'm making London Roast!

Here's a mural honoring the death of Estelle Getty who died yesterday. Just thought I'd post it for all you Golden Girls fans out there.
