WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

Holes in my clothes (and my favorite guilty pleasure song is redeemed)

Posted about 1 year ago
I think I'm a fairly attractive female. Maybe sort of likeable, sarcastic, fashionable. But I'm not Los Angeles' poster child for Thin. So I wore some holes in my jeans... you know, in the thighs, where normal-sized women wear holes.
I think in a perfect world I'd be an adorable, petite Japanese girl who knows how to skateboard, thus got holes in the knees of her jeans. But anyway, I continue to wear said jeans, but strategically layering to prevent any shocks to my co-workers. Today I wore a dress over pants. (Did I say fashionable at the top of this? Should I revise that?) And then I put on my favorite sweatshirt... holes in the elbows! Well, I guess I'm just bending my arms too much.
I take off my shoes tonight... and there's holes in my socks!

I promise you, I am a real, live ragamuffin these days.

Totally unrelated news, but equally thrilling... is that I found the ultimate redemption to a song I've felt guilty about loving because it sounds oh-so-raver. But now it's been re-mixed as a thoroughly hip electro mix!!!! Yay!

Pnau released their self-titled record last year, but only in Australia. "Embrace" is on there and I hope they release their album in the states soon. The vocals are done by Ladyhawke and the original track is retardedly catchy. I've been embarrassed to post this track because I feel like such a cheesy raver... but now it's been redeemed. Check out both versions, just don't tell my hipster friends.

On a related note, I can't wait to post Pnau's "Donnie Darko" around Halloween time! Also, Pnau gets serious points with me for including a unicorn in their photo shoot. Unicorns yay!
