[Review] Eminem- Relapse

First off I would like to state that Relapse really didn't live up to my expectations. I am not saying I did not like the album but that it wasn't everything it was being hyped up to be. There were songs off of it that I like a lot while others I got sick of really quickly. I think there were four or five skits on this album, and letting all of you know, I hate skits unless they make me piss myself. I deleted them off the album and this is going to be their only mention. But most of you have heard the songs that were leaked and those were easily the worst songs off the album with the exception of Old Time's Sake and I guess you can give it to Crack A Bottle. Old Time's Sake was really saved by Dr. Dre and his parts are the parts of the song I love.
But onto the real album. Eminem puts on his joke accent in almost every song. While yeah sometimes it is good, we were just looking forward to him being the old old Eminem and giving us something that we really wanted to get into and could relate. Yeah we all know Kim Kardashian has a big ass but we want the real shit.
That real shit does get to by some songs on the album, which turned out to be the songs I liked. There were four songs, Hello, Same Song & Dance, Stay Wide Awake, and the sole song produced by Eminem Beautiful. He still puts on the joke accent a little bit in some of them but for the most part his flow kind of eliminates it.
The album is ok and ok at best. It is not something that I would go out and wait at the store to buy the day it is out. It is something you might rather want to check out on iTunes and see what songs you like and pick and choose. I have a little rating about cd's and then iTunes quality. CDQ is something that I love almost every track on the album and is something that I want to keep in my collection as a legit album, the last one was 808's And Heartbreak, and I have a bunch more lined up. Drake, Kid Cudi, Jay-Z, and The Cool Kids to name a few off the top of my head.
But overall, Eminem does a good job back from his retirement and we have to remember that Relapse 2 is coming out this year too hopefully. And in that one if he drops the joke accent, maybe he will hear our calls, then it would be great.
Anyway Relapse drops in the US, May 19th so all of you know, lets see how it does. I am not leaking any new tracks but I will post my favorite of the leaks as a sort of thanks for reading this.
