Wow, Faith is opening up in two separate interviews that couldn't be more different than if they were about two different people.

In the first article from Good Housekeeping, Faith talks about things that may surprise people, such as the fact that her adopted father quit school in the fourth grade to go to work and never returned, leaving him illiterate.

"He is smart," Faith has said. "He's done really well. But there's a whole other world out there in reading. I didn't understand how important it was until I became an adult and realized how much he missed out on."

They also talk with Faith's first husband, Daniel Hill, who recounts how they met and how Faith got her start in country music.  There are also some awesome tidbits like how Faith almost chose interior decorating over music, her search for her birth parents, how Tim came into her life, and the medical emergency that could have ended badly for one of Tim and Faith's little girls.

At the time, the couple dismissed reports that the situation was touch and go. In fact, little Audrey was placed in the neonatal intensive care unit in a Nashville hospital, where Faith and Tim were allowed to touch her only if they were wearing latex gloves. "I'd stick my finger in the little isolette, and my first knuckle would be her entire hand," Faith has recalled of Audrey's early days. The baby, whose lungs were not fully developed, stayed in the hospital for several weeks. Her parents got a room in a nearby hotel and visited every three hours. "That was the hardest thing I ever had to do in my life," Faith has said. "We didn't know what the outcome was going to be. It was frightening; it was alarming. We said a lot of prayers." The prayers paid off: Today, Audrey is "totally normal. She's fat and happy and laughing," according to her mother.

Such a great, informative article.  Check out the whole thing here.

Then over on IVillage they have a much lighter interview with Faith where she talks football, whether Tim has taken up any of her hobbies, working around their kids' schedules, the impending teenage-hood that's about to hit their home, and other family-oriented questions.

Do your daughters think you're cool?

Probably not. My daughters think I'm goofy and crazy. They love their parents, I can tell you that. I don't know that they think we're cool. You'd have to ask them that question.

Yep, two very different but equally interesting interview/articles, be sure to check them both out for your Faith fix.
