Garth's sister caught running naked through neighborhood

Hmmm, this is a tough one.  I so want to make a joke out of Garth's sister getting caught running naked through the streets of her neighborhood, but being that a mental illness was involved (as opposed to an alcohol-fueled streaking adventure) I feel the urge to show some restraint.

So I'll just tell you the story and let you make your own personal jokes if you like.

Garth's sister, Betsy Smittle, who is openly gay, had a fight with her lover and ran out of the home that they share naked as a jay bird.  Police were called but no arrest was made.  Besty apparently suffers from bipolar disorder and had a breakdown of some sort.

Reportedly Garth rushed to Tulsa to be with Besty on April 26th after hearing that she was acting strangely.

Police do confirm that they were called to the scene by neighbors, but wouldn't give any further details other than to say no arrest was made.

A spokesman tells The Globe (yeah, the rag mag), "She didn't exhibit any signs she was a danger to herself or others," and the authorities made no arrest.

Betsy was hospitalized and underwent two weeks of psychiatric care, was discharged, and then readmitted voluntarily after not being able to deal with her lover.

Mental illness is such a tough thing to deal with.  I hope all turns out well for Garth's family.
