Woodstock's not just for hippies anymore

Some familiar faces will be taking part in the 40th anniversary of the infamous 1969 love-in, Woodstock. Big & Rich, Cowboy Troy and James Otto have all been confirmed to play the famous area on July 16.
The Levon Helm Band, Jefferson Starship, Big Brother and the Holding Co., Ten Years After, Canned Heat, Tom Constanten and Country Joe McDonald will perform Aug. 15, the actual 40th anniversary of Woodstock.
This year's anniversary concerts will take place at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel which was built on the site of the dairy farm where Woodstock was attended by 400,000 people back in August of '69. The area includes an amphitheater and a museum up the hill from the original stage.
Tickets for the August performance cost $69 and $40 for reserved seats; $19.69 for the lawn; and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. To attend the July 16th country performances, reserved seats cost $59 and $40; $25 for the lawn, with a four-pack lawn seats costing $75. These tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.
