They're the whitest black rappers, the blackest white rappers or the most in between race rappers as defined within the far too superficial confines of the vernacular we use to discuss such issues allows -- actually Brother Ali takes that prize, but let's move on. They're ruthless and unstoppable on the mic with a heavy handed sense of humor and flows that are immediately recognizable for their lyrical prowess and their utter dopeness. They are Murs and Slug. They are Felt. And they've got a new album coming out, Felt 3: A Tribute to... (earlier albums were dedicated to Christina Ricci and Lisa Bonet -- the chick from the Cosby show).

The new album is produced by Aesop Rock (thank you lord for this wonderful day in music history), but the figure to whom the album will pay tribute remains a mystery.
