Ulrich Schnauss can actually program schmaltz.  Like, a stream of ones and zeros that will break off mental spigots and let endorphins just gush.  Is it cheap melodrama?  Probably, but it dresses above its means to strike a lush simplicity.  The steely twang of “Look At The Sky” appears a poorly chosen accessory until the song takes flight like a Da Vinci helicopter sketch come to life with synths and piano, cloudkissed and pumping furiously to keep itself airborne.  From down below, the divine looks effortless.
