Courtney Love: Back By Popular Demand?

Apparently, Courtney Love has a backbone because she’s not only pissed that Guitar Hero 5 features a Kurt Cobain avatar looking like an idiot (watch clip above), she also is suing Activision over it. Which the music purist in me says is great news. After watching that estate rape the Kurt Cobain/Nirvana legacy repeatedly over the years (Kurt Cobain’s journal, Kurt Cobain chucks, etc), it’s nice to see Courtney put her foot down and actually not be the problem for once. And to Activision, Kurt Cobain isn’t the best thing ever, but have some respect, the man deserves more than to be made a monkey.

Here’s the news via Spinner:

If most just assumed that Activision had the approval of the Cobain estate, Courtney Love is adamant that is not the case. “Yeah, we’ll sue Activision,” Love wrote on Twitter early Thursday morning. “This is disgusting. But there’s a lot more.”

“I saw a piece of [Kurt’s] avatar on the nightly news. I actually had to vomit,” she added. Love goes on to rebut the claim that the Activision deal was made in response to the millions in debt due to forgeries regarding the Cobain estate. She says—in a mind-numbing series of tweets—that the case now includes 54 phony Power of Attorney documents and 162 bank accounts with Power of Attorney forgeries.

“Have fun with your avatars, you slimebags,” Love continued a short while later. “I rant? F--- off. I have proof, you’ve simply never bothered to look. So f---ing play your video game.”

On Wednesday, Love also tweeted, “For the record, this ‘Guitar Hero’ s--- is breach of contract on a bully’s part and there will be a proper addressing of this and retraction.” She then added, “We are going to sue the s--- out of Activision. We being the Trust, the Estate, the LLC, the various LLCs, Cobain Enterprises.”
