Man of Aran is British Sea Power‘s eerie atmospheric response to Robert Flaherty’s 1934 fiction-documentary about a primitive family living off the coast of Ireland. There are three things to be done while listening to this album: (1) watch “Man of Aran”; (2) be lulled to sleep; and (3) watch the ocean.
