Eric D. Johnson, who also occasionally plays with Vetiver and the Shins, is finally releasing the fourth record and first in four years from his Fruit Bats. The album, The Ruminant Band, is due out August 4th on Sub Pop. The Fruit Bats’ melodies are nearly unparalleled in their ability to immediately catch and glue to an ear drum.
