First of all, I absolutely love the Granda Theater in Dallas. This was my fifth show there and I have never had any problems with it. It was quite a nice change from the people at the Palladium Ballroom, where I saw Bright Eyes a couple of nights before. Everyone that worked there, especially this one man, seemed to have a stick up their ace. Anyways, what a great lineup. Johnathan Rice was absolutely amazing. He kept people interested in his set, even though it was acoustic and probebly not many people knew who he was. It takes a real talented person to grab everyones attnetion, and even get them singing along. His songs were obviously recollections of him and Jenny Lewis' relationship. He played all three songs from his newest EP "A Girl Called Miami" and has a new album, "Further North" out soon.
