Live and let live.

I think people need to mind their own buisness if they can't lift people up instead of put them down. If somebody says "I like this kind of music" other people go off like they have no right to like that kind of music. It sickens me to see people do that to others. Just because they like a certain type of music doesn't make them a bad person. People need to live and let live.

  2. SatisfiedMind614 says So true...exactly why there are like 20 different formats on your FM radio dial! I hate it when if forums like this people feel the need to seem superior and witty! If you don't like a band, skip the post and don't say anything at all...these sad people are obviously powerless in the real world and exact revenge on all of us in the cyber one!

  3. Violet Grey says If someone has the right to say they like something, others have the right to disagree, however strongly they might do so. There is a quite understandable mindset that fans of certain genres of music or bands hold a certain type of mentality; I for one have never met a Juggallo that I didn't firmly believe suffered some kind of debilitating brain injury as a child. There is nothing wrong with being challenged on your views. Sometimes we have to be able to substantiate our opinions, if only to reinforce them to ourselves. If someone challenges you on why you like a certain band, and all you can say is that they sound good, then perhaps there is reason to re-examine your interest in them. Music is powerful; it is one of the few things that can truly re- wire or re- program a persons mind. If you listen to a type of music long enough, the little things about it get inside you and become part of your personality, as well as coloring how you view the world around you. Not all musicians and songwriters take responsibility for this reality, and that can often lead to a lot of problems with people who saturate their brains with it, as many music fans do. So there is precedent, and need, for questioning the veracity of fans for a particular type of music. Just to be sure, I'm not talking about casual listener,s I'm talking about the hardcore fans. And we all know some- and I'm pretty sure we all think there is something wrong with those people.

  5. mattjamcr says not to sound like a witty demeaning bastard satisfiedmind but wouldn't referring to them as "powerless in the real world" and "sad people" be adhereing to their ethics? neway i think people should listen to some music they don't like every once in a while. seems to be a great way of expanding your tastes and learning, isn't that what sites like this are all about? "why can't weeeee be friendssss.........."
