If you want to know something about french music in the sixties, you can visit my blog. Así se fundó Carnaby Street (http://carnabys.blogspot.com), but here I would like to up a Brigitte Bardot's song, a song from 1970: Tu Veux Ou Tu Veux Pas.

  1. ivylander says Interesting - this is originally a song by Wilson Simonal, a Brazilian funk artiste of the late Sixties. BB seems to have had a thing for Brazil - I know, offhand, of her recording of the Joao GIlberto chestnut "Maria Ninguem" and her status as Patron Saint of Buzios. Wonder how much more history there is in this relationship?

  2. soulrocket says BB was a cool french pop singer & this song shows that. There is a big amount of french bossa songs out there mostly because the style became extremely popular among the french back then. Cool post, birkin moi. Keep them coming.

  3. Spike says Not bad. In the U.S. one doesn't hear much of recent French pop music. There must be great stuff we're missing. Your carnaby's web site is great. I look forward to other tunes you send Mogward.
