john denver concert in australia (1995)

ihad seen on t.v. that john denver was coming here to do a concert and i had been such a huge fan for so long i could not wait to get my tickets. i asked my friend to come along but as they were not fans, they declined. unfortunately i am a rather shy person and did not fancy attending his concert on my own.to my surprise my girlfriends went ahead and bought tickets to johns concert and i was thrilled when they informed me we were on our way to see john the very next nite.sitting in my seat, i was shaking in anticipation when the lights went down and a spot light hit the stage and there was john sitting on a stool with only his guitar.it was the most amazing concert i have ever been too. no bells and whistles. just pure john. he was at his best.we left the concert and all the way home we chatted excitedly about the great songs we had all just experienced.needless to say, john had 5 new fans who, along with myself, deeply mourned his passing two years later.
