Watch this movie, buy the soundtrack, watch this movie. It's sweetness will break your heart, in a good way (if that's possible).
Don't call it a comeback, but the Rentals are back in full force. This ep, available in stores and on Itunes is wonderful pop goodness. They even redo one of their own tracks from the first album. Check it out!
So I read this idea on artofthemix.org and maybe I am in the dark, but I absolutely love the idea of putting a mixtape together this way and have never tried it quite like this before.
Here's the details:
1. song from the last record bought 2. A blues: not a necessarily a blues record but a song that is labelled (something) blues 3. song that gets you going in the morning 4. romantic song 5. One of the earliest records that you can remember listening to. 6. song discovered from a film 7. song from favourite band / artist 8. song from an artist band that you otherwise don’t like, but like this one 9. A Lullaby. 10. song that makes you laugh / you find funny 11. really good cover version 12. song that reminds you of school days 13. song from an artist that you are embarrassed to admit you like 14. funky 15. song for those quiet rainy days 16. feelgood song 17. A song with the word ‘Look’ in the title 18. From a member of the ‘Dead rockers society’ 19. Your favourite Elvis song 20. Wildcard-any song. Song order up to you,
make it flow. Title = cool movie quote
Any takers on making this and trading it?

You're on. Just please tell me you haven't already done yours! It will take me a while to put this together.
And Elvis....do I really have to include some Elvis?
Umm, you are from Memphis...so that means you absolutely have to included Elvis...or you have another option since Elvis has been crammed down your throat there...you can include a Lisa Marie Presley song instead. :)
Well, as I'm sure you know we're gearing up for Dead Elvis Week so I'm nearing maximum Elvis exposure. I guess I just need to have a Reese's Peanut Butter & Banana Cup and get over myself.
