The Mogwai concert was a couple of nights ago, they were fantastic, as always. They played to a sold-out Metro Theatre on a cold Friday night in Sydney. What better way to start a Mog than on the subject of Mogwai, the post-rock punk metal Glaswegians. I've seen them live a couple of times, one time way back in their early days in Belfast, and more recently in Sydney. Augie March are from Melbourne, Australia and are one of my favourites. While I don't like comparing artists to other artists, I can't help but mention that their vocalist has a very Jeff Buckley-esque sound. The music is quite complex and has baroque touches and some interesting arrangements. Great songwriting though - I'll be seeing them soon in Sydney for the first time, will be interesting
